Known Issues[edit | edit source]

Question #1: I find a reference number to a will in the index but the actual will is not found in the Wills section of the collection. Where can I see the actual will?
Answer #1: The index includes wills that are found in this collection and in the British Columbia, Estate Files, 1859-1949 collection. You should check both collections for the records. The Description found on the main page of each collection will give you more guidance as to what is in each collection. You should note that some wills are missing from the collection.

Question #2: At British Columbia, Wills, 1861-1981 > Index > 1969-1973 A-Z > Image 201, the indexes for names starting with F are missing. How can I see them?
Answer #2: The index of G names was been erroneously added after the E records starting at image 201. Then at Image 234, the E records start again followed by the F records at image 251 and then the G records are again recorded at image 278.
