Known Issues[edit | edit source]

Question 1[edit | edit source]

Question 1: Why do I get the message that images are not available when I click on the View image for a record in this collection even though the camera icon is displayed?
Answer 1: As stated in the title description “Not all indexed names will have a viewable record image due to contractual agreements”. Likewise, when browsing, many of the Digital Folder Numbers also give the messaging “Image not available” for the same reason.

Question 2[edit | edit source]

Question 2: When I try to view the image for my ancestor I find the record details page is linked to the wrong record? Is the correct image available?
Answer 2: There are instances in these records where the images are linked incorrectly. Usually the solution is to scroll forward or backward a few images and you can find the correct image.

Question 3[edit | edit source]

Question 3: I am looking for ancestors married in San Luis Obispo County and cannot find them. Is there a problem with these records?
Answer 3: Many of the records on DGS5686290 have been incorrectly indexed with the Witnesses being mistakenly indexed as the Bride and Groom because of a confusing form. These can mostly be found on the records from images 378-651, and cover the years from 1891-1895. You will need to look at the image itself to find the correct bride and groom.

Question 4[edit | edit source]

Question 4: I am finding Yuba City Naturalization records in the waypoint 004666562. Where can I find the marriage records?
Answer 4: The film these records are on contains both Naturalization Records and Marriage License records. The Naturalization Records were inadvertently loaded as well. The first 552 images in this waypoint are Naturalization records. The Marriage License records begin with image 553.
