CAWKWELL or Calkwell (St. Peter), a parish, in the union of Horncastle, N. division of the wapentake of Gartree, parts of Lindsey, county of Lincoln, 6 miles (S. W. by S.) from Louth. [1]
Cawkwell St Peter is an Ancient Parish in Lincolnshire.
The parish church is documented as still standing in 1872 but subsequently was lost, material was used in the restoration of Scamblesby, Lincolnshire Genealogy.
Cawkwell is a hamlet and former civil parish about six miles south east of Louth in the East Lindsey District of Lincolnshire.
