Working with Family Relationships in Family Search
Presenter: Charlyn McAllister
Class Description: Learn how to find, evaluate, correct, discuss, watch, and attach sources to the people in your family tree. You will learn to add or link a person to your tree; add, edit, or delete a couple relationship or parent- child relationship; remove a person and change a wrong parent. It is recommended that each attendee already have an Ancestry.com account or set up an account before attending the workshop. Handouts provide directions for account setup.

From Storage Box to Story Book
Presenter: Parris Neal
Class Description: We have often been challenged to find a way to convert all of our photos, memories, articles, group sheets, and important documents from our "storage boxes" into a family history that can be understood, appreciated, added to, and passed along to the next generation. Brother Neal has gone through the experience and will show how to make that conversion into an "electronic family history scrapbook" that can include art, hot links, stories, and all of the other priceless collectibles that will culminate into a real time story book.

How to Plan Your Own Family History Trip

Class Description: This class introduces you to the Ancestry.com website and shows you how to get started using this powerful family history research partner. Included are basic website navigation; setting up your profile and home page to get the most out of the website; starting your family tree; basic search techniques and the Ancestry catalog of sources.
Recommended: Sign up for an account with Ancestry.com.
If you cannot sign up for an account yourself prior to Workshop date, the instructor will be in the Family History Discovery Center during regular hours on the Thursday and Friday prior to the class and will assist you in getting signed up.
