Question 1[edit | edit source]
Question 1: Some Bristol events have been attributed to the wrong parish. How can I determine the correct parish?
Answer 1: In looking at the record detail pages, you will see a digital folder number towards the bottom. Use this digital folder number and the chart below to determine the correct parish.

Question 2: The record detail pages show the film number to be the same as the digital folder number. Is this correct?
Answer 2: This collection has been captured directly to digital images. There are no microfilms available. Due to contract restrictions, some images may not be available online, or may be available at a local FamilySearch Center .
Question 3[edit | edit source]
Question 3: There are birth and christening records from Gloucestershire Parish included in the Bristol Parish record sets. Is this correct?
Answer 3: Yes, the Diocese of Bristol covers the city itself, a number of parishes in southern Gloucestershire (north and east of the city), and a few parishes in north Somerset.

Question 4: Baptism and burial records for Holy Trinity Church, Stapleton Parish in Gloucestershire appear to have incorrect information. What is the correct information?
Answer 4: The baptism records associated with Digital Folder Numbers 4179966 and 4179976 are missing the first name of the baptized person. The burial records associated with Digital Folder Numbers 4180101, 4180116, 4180077 and 4180087 contain incorrect information in the search results pages not found on the images or record detail pages: fathers’ surname, residence date, and place of residence.
