Links that lead to unexpected place without sufficient explanation. She showed a Massachusetts Death Records example where she was sent to the top of a page, when the needed answer was much further down and hidden.

Our language needs to help people understand that this is to tell people how and where to research. With enough guidance to know they are not wasting their time. Help them roll up their sleeves without discouraging them that "this is too hard."

Make it as easy as we can for them to help them know where to go from there (the next step) and what to expect when they take that step.

The language is critical, explain quickly and simply. May refer to more online things than they may have known about and show them things that are not online. Our online records pages are a great place for them to start.

like a google search, too many people don't know "how" to use the different types of commands to search faster within the wiki.. they usually only search using one or two words or phrases, and then give up.. I wish we could teach them the different commands so they could search more accurately
