Known Issues[edit | edit source]

Question 1[edit | edit source]

Question 1: When trying to scroll through images in some of the waypoints the scroll feature will not work. It seems to freeze. Is there a way to work around this?
Answer 1: In some of the waypoints images are missing, either by being missed in the filming or the camera operator being off in his counting. In these cases, the menu bar will show more images in the waypoint, but the scroll bar will not move forward. If you manually skip the next image and input the image following, that image will come up and allow you to continue browsing through the images. For instance:

  • In the waypoint 1980, A-Z image 257 is missing. The scroll forward option disappears on image 256. If you manually insert 258 and hit go, the scroll arrow reappears and you can move forward.
  • In the waypoint 1945, A-Z image 1138 is missing. The scroll forward option disappears on image 1137. Manually inserting 1139 and hitting go will bring the scroll arrow back up and you can move forward.

Question 2[edit | edit source]

Question 2: Are there other types of records in this collection?
Answer 2: The catalog shows the NOTE: “Images of a surname card index from the Maywood Public Library. The index is largely comprised of obituaries, as well as a list of "Maywoodians" (residents of the city of Maywood), from the "Maywood Herald" newspaper.” This would indicate that there might be other types of records in the file – such as engagement announcements, etc.

Question 3[edit | edit source]

Question 3: This index is here, why I can’t I see the obituaries?
Answer: Obituaries will not be published here. To view the obituaries, please contact Maywood Public Library for more information.
