Côte d'Ivoire has a general copyright term of 99 years and Honduras has 75 years, but they do implement that rule of the shorter term. Template:PD-Australia

Template:PD-author

Use this template for second-person authors whose work and license were first published elsewhere with a {{PD-self}} template.

This work has been released into the public domain by its author, NameHere. This applies worldwide. In case this is not legally possible: NameHere grants any entity the right to use this work for any purpose, without any conditions, unless such conditions are required by law.

When tagging your own work it is better to use the {{PD-self}} template.

Template:PD-Canada

This Canadian work is in the public domain in Canada because its copyright has expired due to one of the following: 1. it was subject to Crown copyright and was first published more than 50 years ago, or it was not subject to Crown copyright, and 2. it is a photograph that was created prior to January 1, 1949, or 3. the creator died more than 50 years ago.

Template:PD-Gutenberg

This image comes from the Project Gutenberg archives. This is an image that has come from a book or document for which the copyright has expired and this image is in the public domain.

Template:PD-ineligible

This image is ineligible for copyright and therefore is in the public domain, because it consists entirely of information that is common property and contains no original authorship.

Template:PD-Norway

This image is in the Public Domain in Norway because the Norwegian Copyright law (§43a) specifies that images not considered to be "works of art" become public domain 50 years after creation, provided that more than 15 years have passed since the photographer's death or the photographer is unknown. Under the former photo law, protection ended 25 years after creation, provided that more than 15 years had passed since the photographer's death or the photographer is unknown. The image is in the public domain if this older term already had expired as of 29 June 1995.[1] To uploader: Please provide information about where the image was first published, who created it, and when the photographer died, if known. The right to be attributed does not expire in Norway. Images uploaded to Wikimedia Commons must also be in the public domain in the United States. A Norwegian work that is in the public domain in Norway is in the public domain in the U.S. only if it was in the public domain in Norway in 1996 and no copyright was registered in the U.S. (This is the effect of 17 USC 104A with its critical date of January 1, 1996.)

Template:PD-old-auto (and related templates)

If you provide the death year of the author (for example, 1941) as a parameter (for example, {{PD-old-auto|1941}}), this template automatically calculates and displays the longest-allowable copyright span as the life of the author plus either 70, 75, 80, 90, or 100 years. As years pass, the license span will change, because more years will have elapsed since the life of that author. Once this template is used, there is no need to re-edit the page, because it will automatically adjust for the actual year (currently: 2021), in the future. For example, {{PD-old-auto|1941}} displays as:
