Notes[edit | edit source]

Note 1[edit | edit source]

NOTE 1: To determine which digital records are likely to be found within a collection or to find missing images, see, How do I use the catalog to learn more about the collections in Historical Records?.

Note 2[edit | edit source]

NOTE 2: Throughout the collection, a significant number of waypoint year ranges only specify the low and high year available, and are not indicative of missing years. For example: Defunciones 1868-1887 only includes the years 1868-1870, 1872, 1874, 1883, 1885-1887. In addition, many waypoints, which include records of smaller towns, are located in the browse paths of larger districts, cities, or municipalities which had a civil registry office. Some of the smaller towns no longer exist. The year ranges and places can be checked by viewing the appropriate Catalog section. Keep in mind that some waypoints include more than one film. Finally, check the appropriate Catalog sections for films that are not available online to date.
