Organized at St. Cloud, St. Peters and Fort Snelling, Minnesota, October 9 to December 30, 1862.
Mustered out: October 20 to December 7, 1863 at Fort Ripley and Fort Snelling,Minnesota.
- 2nd Regiment, Minnesota Cavalry
Organized at Fort Snelling, Minnespta, December 5, 1863, to January 5, 1864.
Mustered out: Headquarters at Fort Snelling, till May, 1866.
- Brackett's Battalion, Minnesota Cavalry
Companies "A," "B" and "C" organized at Fort Snelling, Minn., as 1st, 2nd and 3rd Companies, Minnesota Light Cavalry, September to November, 1861. Patrol duty from Sioux City to Fort Randall, Headquarters at Sioux City, October, 1865, to May, 1866.
Mustered out: June 1, 1866.
