Pentrefoelas is a rural village, community and ecclesiastical parish in the County Borough of Conwy, Wales Genealogy, Wales.

Before 1974 the village was in the historic county of Denbighshire and, between 1874 and 1996 in the County of Clwyd, Wales Genealogy. In 1996 it became part of the modern County Borough of Conwy, Wales Genealogy.

"PENTRE-VOELAS, a parochial chapelry in the hundred of Isaled, county of Denbigh, 14 miles (S.W.) from Denbigh, containing 611 inhabitants. This chapelrycomprises a portion of the most mountainous and sterile moorlands of the district, together with some boggy patches; and wood, the prevailing timber being larch. Barley and oats are the principal produce. Three houses only constitute the village. An excellent road has been constructed from this place to Denbigh, across the mountains."
