Parish History[edit | edit source]

SNENTON (St. Stephen), a parish, in the union of Radford, S. division of the wapentake of Thurgarton and of the county of Nottingham.[1]

Additional information:

The Ecclesiastical parish of Sneinton St Stephen was formed in 1771 as a chapelry within Nottingham St Mary the Virgin, Nottinghamshire Genealogy Ancient parish and included Snenton Ville. Originally a village just over a mile from the centre of Nottingham it is now part of the City of Nottingham.
