The records at the Division of Vital Statistics are not open to the public, but employees will search them for a fee.
Baptisms prior to 1886 and death records prior to 1906 are located at the Public Archives and Records Office. These archives hold a collection of marriage records dating back to 1787 (1813–1824 are missing).
This includes licenses from 1831 to 1907 and marriage bonds from 1849 to 1902.
