Talk:How to Find Illinois Birth Records

I know this article is still under development.  It looks like the template used to build the page includes Arizona information.   Here's a comment from our Google Community:

It looks like someone pasted Arizona's Wiki information into some of the entries as that's what's listed in a number of sections instead of info on Illinois. I presume this mis-pasting is why a good amount of the information on Illinois county & state statutory registration is incorrect.

I'm pretty sure this statement is not accurate:  " (Births after 1916 section) The Vital Records office of the Illinois Department of Public Health has copies of births from 1916 to present day. Anything before 1916 must be obtained from the county clerk's office in the county where the birth occurred." (I've added italics to help clarify the part that appears to be inaccurate.)

I'm pretty sure many births certificates and registers before 1916 are available via IRAD.  Am I reading this incorrectly, or should this be updated, maybe with a list of IRAD birth holidings?  To see an example of birth records available by county, see researcher Molly Kennedy's "Birth Records in Illinois" listing of records available via IRAD in Springfield.
