Known Issues[edit | edit source]
Question 1[edit | edit source]
Question 1: There is a camera icon next to the names of persons in this collection, but when an attempt is made to view the image the message “Image is Unavailable” appears. Why can’t the image of this record been seen?
Answer 1: Currently we do not have permission to show all of the records in this collection. Until permission is obtained FamilySearch cannot show the images online. It may be possible to obtain a copy of the record from the Texas Department of Health, Austin, Texas or the Texas Vital Statistics website.
Question 2[edit | edit source]
Question 2: Records are linked to the wrong images. How can the correct image be found?
Answer 2: The index of each record has a certificate number which is found near the bottom of the page. The images will contain the certificate number, usually in the upper right corner of the record. Use this number to find the correct image by moving backward or forward through the images using the arrows on the Image Viewer screen.
