Brief History[edit | edit source]

Thomas' North Carolina Legion was organized at Knoxville, Tennessee, during September, 1862.
It surrendered at Waynesville on May 10, 1865. [1]

Thomas' Legion was incorporated into a brigade. The component parts of this legion were:

The Civil War Soldiers and Sailors database lists 14 men on its roster for this unit. Possibly this unit did not complete its organization, and the men went to other units. Roster.
