My genealogy research started in 2010, taking me on a path to document family trees on both my parents' lines. My efforts to discover ancestors has been a long journey and will never be completed; there is so much to learn. I have found Irish ancestors where my family thought we came directly from England. I have found French ancestry which was never imagined. I started with enthusiasm and a lack of understanding as to the variety of sources available. I also assumed that all those before me knew exactly what they were doing and authoritatively accepted their research. I have learned a lot and have grown much more knowledgeable and proficient in my research. The only thing that has not changed is my enthusiasm for this profession.
