My name is Terry Nicoll. I was raised in the great state of Arizona. I spent 30 years in the field of education. First as an elementary school teacher and then principal of the school where I taught. After retiring in 2013, my wife and I moved to Pennsylvania where we now reside with our daughter and her family. We have two other children still in Arizona. My whole world revolves around our three precious grandchildren ages 10, 4, and 2.
As an educator and lifelong learner I enjoy learning new skills. With no prior construction experience and with the help of YouTube and lots of prayers, I converted the basement of my daughter's house into a 2 bedroom apartment for my wife and I. This project took a year of blood, sweat, and tears to complete, but I am very proud of the finished product. I have always approached projects and learning in my life the same way using the three P's, positive attitude, persistence and prayer.
My wife is Hispanic and living most of our life in Arizona, I absolutely love Mexican food. Since Pennsylvania does not have the tasty Mexican food we are accustomed to, we cook our own often. My specialties are salsa and chili.
I have served two other missions for FamilySearch. The first was the contact center where I took calls, texts and emails from patrons having questions regarding FamilySearch and their family tree. The second was training Stake Temple and Family History Consultants how to successfully do their callings. I also taught patrons how to use the new web indexing program that FamilySearch had recently rolled out.
I am currently a ward temple and family history consultant in the Scranton 1st Ward Scranton PA Stake. I can be contacted by email at
