Tracy Foster, MLIS
I have an immense love of technology, research, and genealogy, so it only makes sense that I have a strong love for FamilySearch and it's site users! I have an undergraduate degrees in American Ethnic Studies, with an emphasis in African American Studies, and Comparative History of Ideas. My graduate degree is in Library and Information Science, which has tended to be used more on the information science side in my professional career. I have lead digitization efforts, such as the pre-WWII Japanese-American newspaper Hokebi Hochi. I have taught undergraduate classes, such as Asian American Studies and Information Literacy, online and in-person. Currently, I am a lead consultant in the IT sector focused on agile deployments of enterprise sized solutions. I have had the privilege to serve my fellow sisters as a First Counselor in the Relief Society, and now I am looking forward to serving the users of the FamilySearch wiki. Any free time I have is spent with my family, who are a pretty awesome bunch of people. I am a wife of an amazing man and a mother of eight children, from the ages of 4 to 23 years old. Our youngest is learning to count to 100 and our oldest just finished her graduate degree and is teaching for a year in Central America. We have so much fun together, whether its going on walks, making dinners, or doing service projects. I sure am thankful that families are forever!
