Brief History[edit | edit source]

Weston was originally the “West Town” of the town of Andover, whose charter was granted in 1761. The present town of Weston, chartered on October 26, 1799,  was created because the Markham and Terrible Mountains made it impossible to get from one side of town to the other. When the Legislature created the new town, its name was obvious.

At the center of Weston is numerous residences, the Town offices, the fire station, the Weston Playhouse/community center.[1][2]

Historical Data[edit | edit source]
