County Information
Description
The County was named for John Adams. The County has Corning as its seat and the County was created March 12, 1853. The County is located in the southwest area of the state.[1]

1851 - Adams County was created 15 January 1851 from Pottawattamie County. The county was organized 7 March 1853.
