Out of concern for the health and safety of our guests, volunteers, and staff, the Family History Library in Salt Lake City will be closed starting at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2020 until further notice. This closure is to support preventive efforts to control the spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). The largest genealogical collection in the world—it is especially strong for the United States, British Isles, Scandinavia, Europe, Mexico, and parts of Germany, but also contains material from all parts of the world. The collection contains civil/vital births, marriages, and deaths, church records, county and local histories, court records, military records, probate records, passenger arrival lists, naturalization and land records.
