What is in This Collection?[edit | edit source]
This Collection will include records from 1809 to 1929.
This collection of civil registration records includes births, marriages, death, and supplemental documentation files. The registration of birth, marriage, and death were kept on separate registers. the original registers were kept in the municipality (Comune) archive, and a second copy was usually sent to the courthouse (Tribunale) archive, then after about 100 years the courthouse would forward their copy to the state archive (Archivio di Stato) for permanent conservation.
