Local Criminal Rosters (Jun-kwa Kirok)[edit | edit source]
Criminal rosters identify individuals who are not likely to appear in compiled genealogies or other sources because their antisocial behavior violated Confucian ethics and, thus, required censure. Records may also identify persons who have escaped their incarcerations. Records generally begin about 1800.
Some records may be found in the Kyujanggak collection, Seoul National University Library.
