It is noted in the book that James A. Boyd was killed in action during the battle of June 13, 1863.  He was not killed.  He was taken prisoner and delivered to Libby prison.  I have reviewed his person diary for the year 1863 and it is quite interesting.  Unfortunately if he maintained a diary in 1864 it has been lost.
