FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a Family History Centre, a branch facility of the Family History Library.

Open Hours

  • Open every Tuesday evening from 7-8.30pm, and the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month. Please note the 2nd Saturday opening hours are from 10am-1pm. The 4th Saturday opening times are from 2-5pm. If you cannot attend during usual opening hours please email us with an opening request. We will do our best to accommodate requests received, but please give us a minimum of 7 days notice. Please check our Facebook page for unscheduled closure notifications, upcoming events, and useful information.

Our Christmas closure is from December 16th 2020 to January 8th 2021.

  • Class Schedule

We offer classes on a 1-2-1 and group basis on Saturdays in the following areas;

Basic computer skills.

Using FamilySearch and FamilyTree, including the app.


Using My Heritage.

We can also offer tips and suggestions on subjects like gathering information, using social media in family history research and collaborating with others researching your line. As well as a host of other topics.

We also provide arts and crafts for children, however, parents are responsible for the supervision of their children at all times.

If you require a specific topic, please email at least 7 days prior to attending and we will do our very best to accommodate you.

Every month that has a 5th Saturday we host Family History related activities. These activities are designed to spark an interest in our family history and vary each time. They may be targeted at different age groups or the whole family, but they are always lots of fun! Please see our Facebook page for upcoming events within the month.
