Brief History[edit | edit source]
Wardsboro was chartered on November 7, 1780 by the Vermont Legislature. In 1788, it was divided into North and South Districts, the latter becoming present-day Dover in 1810. The town includes the villages of Wardsboro Center, West Wardsboro, and South Wardsboro. [1][2]
